In addition to cardiac services, we offer peripheral vascular examinations - examination of blood flow to the upper and lower extremities using arterial doppler and duplex techniques. We also provide examination of the veins of the lower extremities to determine if blood clot is present or if vein function is abnormal. We provide carotid artery ultrasound which can be an important screening examination to reduce the risk of stroke.

We also perform traditional ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, kidneys, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, abdominal aorta and pelvic organs. Ultrasounds are scheduled and performed in our Tinton Falls and Holmdel offices when ordered by a Riverview Medical Associates physician. All non-cardiac ultrasounds are interpreted by a consulting board certified radiologist and reviewed by the ordering Riverview Medical Associates physician. We believe that providing these ultrasound services on-site expedites and improves patient care and limits required visits to radiologists and hospitals.
